Swiss energy group BKW has acquired two engineering firms in Germany and Austria to strengthen its Solutions 2030 strategy, the company announced on Thursday.
BKW will take over Priedemann Fassadenberatung, a Berlin-based specialist in complex facade planning with around 130 employees. The acquisition also includes KS Ingenieure, an Austrian firm headquartered in Vienna focused on structural engineering, building physics, project management, construction supervision and technical consulting, employing 53 staff.
The deals expand BKW’s engineering portfolio in building envelopes, structural planning and general planning, aligning with the company’s long-term growth strategy. The acquisitions are expected to enhance BKW’s market position in Germany and Austria, where the firm aims to deepen its presence in the construction and infrastructure sectors.
