Mumbai-based Axis Bank said it allotted 177,413 equity shares to employees under its stock option and restricted stock unit plans, according to a regulatory filing dated Monday.
The shares, issued at a face value of Rs. 2 each, raised the bank’s paid-up share capital to Rs. 6,226,165,660 from Rs. 6,225,810,834. Outstanding equity shares increased to 3,113,082,830 from 3,112,905,417.
The allotment was disclosed in a filing signed by Company Secretary Sandeep Poddar and submitted to exchanges on Monday. Axis Bank’s shares are listed on the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE: AXISBANK), BSE (532215), the London Stock Exchange and the Singapore Exchange.
