Swedish specialty metals producer Alleima AB has extended its supply agreement with Airbus, marking the longest commitment period in the two companies' partnership history. The deal deepens a relationship that traces back to Airbus's founding, according to a company statement released on Thursday.
Under the extended pact, Alleima will supply advanced titanium seamless tube solutions to Airbus, expanding beyond its existing deliveries of stainless steel tubes. The materials will be used in aircraft hydraulic systems, oxygen lines, and fuel systems across Airbus programs. The Swedish firm has supplied aerospace-grade alloys and seamless tubes to the aviation industry for more than seven decades.
Alleima operates integrated production facilities in Sandviken, Sweden, where primary melting and hollows production occur, alongside manufacturing sites in the United States, Germany, and China. As of 2025, the company reported revenues of about 19 billion Swedish kronor and employed approximately 6,800 people across 80 countries. Financial terms of the extended agreement were not disclosed.
Carl von Schantz, President of Alleima's Tube division, said the partnership underscores "the trust in Alleima as a materials supplier and a reliable partner that helps de-risk critical value chains." Phil Cherrie, President of Alleima's BU Specialized division, emphasized that aircraft manufacturers require "advanced materials from reliable partners with the capability to invest, scale up production, and deliver consistent quality over time."
