InvestingPro’s artificial-intelligence stock-picking service generated over two dozen double-digit monthly gains in August, as major U.S. indexes posted modest gains. The S&P 500 rose 2.62%, the NASDAQ advanced 3.93%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average added 1.34%, marking its fifth consecutive month of gains following a nearly flat July.
The AI model, which updates monthly selections based on more than 150 financial models and 15 years of global data, costs less than $9 per month for InvestingPro subscribers. The service provides up to 20 stock recommendations at the start of each month.
Among the top August performers were Ramaco Resources, up 55.29%, Salesforce with a 39.95% gain, Peabody Energy at 39.72%, Mativ Holdings at 37.3%, and Gartner at 31.18%. Over longer holding periods, Delek US Energy led with a 97.46% increase since selection, followed by Haemonetics at 88.98% and Everfort at 84.62%.
Haemonetics, identified in September 2025 under the service’s Healthcare Heroes and Mid-Cap Movers strategies, has benefited from a major U.S. supply agreement with CSL Plasma. The company reported first-quarter 2027 revenue of $339.4 million and adjusted earnings per share of $1.14, exceeding prior expectations of $1.01. Management raised its full-year revenue growth guidance to a range of 5% to 8%. At the time of selection, Haemonetics traded at 56% of its 52-week high with a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 14.9x, a PEG ratio of 0.34, gross margins of 58.8%, and operating margins of 19.4%. Year-over-year EBITDA growth stood at 23.6%. Analysts at Citi upgraded the stock to Buy with a $90 price target, while the consensus fair value estimate is $78.
A separate case study highlighted Ameresco, added at $15.87 in August 2025. The stock surged 136.55% in two months to $37.54 in October 2025 on the back of a $240 million hydroelectric contract in Alaska, a growing project backlog, and analyst target upgrades. Models exited the position at $37.54, after which the stock declined 36.39% to around $24 despite a 22.8% revenue increase, as operating margins narrowed.
