eXoZymes Inc., a Los Angeles biotech that uses AI‑enhanced enzymes for cell‑free production of nutraceutical and pharmaceutical compounds, has signed a technology‑transfer and scale‑up agreement with Curia Global Inc., a contract research, development and manufacturing organization operating more than 20 sites worldwide and employing roughly 3,000 staff.
The collaboration will commence in the fourth quarter of 2026, with Curia handling the transfer of eXoZymes' NCT (natural compound technology) manufacturing process to its facilities in León, Spain, and Rozzano, Italy. The parties aim to define a roadmap for larger‑scale production in 2027.
Work will include cross‑validation of enzyme fermentation, cell‑free reaction and purification steps, as well as detailed process modeling and engineering analysis to chart a path to commercial‑scale output. The effort is intended to create the manufacturing foundation required for commercial customer qualification, future supply agreements and the planned market introduction of NCT.
eXoZymes has already demonstrated the NCT process at pilot scale, reporting improvements in productivity and economics. The company said the Curia engagement validates the process maturity and supports its commercial rollout.
