The RAIK045I MP absolute inductive kit encoder offers 16‑bit resolution with repeatability of 14 bits or greater and an absolute accuracy of 10 bits or more, equivalent to 0.35 degrees. It measures 45 mm in diameter and 6.6 mm in thickness, weighs approximately 13 grams (including a 4.3 gram rotor), and supports rotation speeds up to 10,000 rpm.
The sensor features an off‑axis design suited for hollow‑shaft mounting, provides SPI output as standard with optional Sin/Cos output, and is RoHS‑compliant. Lead times for samples and production are quoted at 16 weeks, and the device operates across a temperature range of –40 °C to +125 °C with a full 360‑degree electrical angle.
Target applications include robotics, motor drives, conveyor belt control, automated guided vehicles, off‑road and agricultural equipment, as well as position control in windmills, cleaning robots, solar panels, hospital beds, surgical tables, drones and missile launchers.
Built on inductive technology, the encoder can function near electric motors without interference from external magnetic fields, a limitation that can affect magnetic‑based encoders.
