Winnebago Industries Inc. said it will consolidate manufacturing operations by closing two U.S. facilities and relocating production to other company sites.
The recreational vehicle manufacturer did not disclose the locations of the facilities in its statement. The closures are part of a broader restructuring initiative aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs.
Winnebago expects the consolidation to be completed by the end of its 2025 fiscal year. The company anticipates one-time restructuring charges of approximately $20 million to $25 million, primarily related to employee severance and facility shutdown costs.
The move follows a period of weaker demand in the RV market, which has pressured industry players in recent quarters. Winnebago’s decision reflects broader efforts across the sector to adapt to shifting consumer preferences and economic conditions.
A company spokesperson declined to comment on potential job losses or the specific facilities affected beyond the restructuring plan.
Winnebago Industries shares were down 1.2% in premarket trading following the announcement.
