UZ Energy secures Sol-Ark battery certification for U.S. market

UZ Energy said on Monday it has obtained certification for Sol-Ark battery storage systems, clearing the way for commercial deployment in the U.S. market.

The certification, granted by Sol-Ark, covers the company’s residential and commercial battery solutions, which are designed for energy storage and grid support applications. UZ Energy, a subsidiary of Uzbekistan’s state-owned energy holding company Uzbekneftegaz, plans to leverage the approval to expand its presence in the U.S. energy storage sector.

Sol-Ark’s battery systems are widely used in residential solar-plus-storage installations and microgrid applications. The certification process typically involves safety, performance, and compliance testing to meet U.S. regulatory standards. UZ Energy did not disclose financial terms or specific deployment timelines in its statement.

The move aligns with growing demand for energy storage solutions in the U.S., driven by renewable energy integration and grid resilience initiatives. UZ Energy has been expanding its operations beyond Uzbekistan, targeting international markets for energy infrastructure and technology.

Sol-Ark, a U.S.-based manufacturer of battery inverters and energy storage systems, has previously secured certifications for its products in multiple markets. The company’s technology is compatible with various solar panel brands and supports both on-grid and off-grid applications.

UZ Energy’s certification follows a broader trend of global energy companies seeking to enter the U.S. energy storage market, which is projected to grow significantly in the coming years.
