UBS (Irl) Fund Solutions plc announced the termination of its UBS CMCI Future Commodity SF UCITS ETF, citing profitability and scalability concerns. The board determined that the fund could no longer be operated in a commercially viable manner.
The announcement was made on a Monday via a press release. Shareholders can redeem shares in the primary market until 2:00 p.m. Dublin time on October 23. The last day of trading on the relevant exchanges will be October 16, with trading suspended the morning of October 19.
On the termination date, any remaining shares will be automatically repurchased by the fund, and net proceeds will be distributed to investors according to their holdings. The fund aims to complete the settlement of these repurchase proceeds no later than November 6.
Secondary‑market investors may experience longer processing times, potentially several weeks, depending on their custodian, broker or settlement arrangements. All costs associated with the fund’s liquidation will be borne by the fund itself.
