Travere Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: TVTX), a biopharmaceutical company specializing in rare kidney diseases, announced the appointment of Bradley L. Campbell as its new president and chief executive officer, effective December 1. Eric Dube, who has led the company since January 2019, will step down to focus on health and family matters but will remain as an executive advisor through February 15, 2027. During Dube’s tenure, the company secured regulatory approvals for therapies in IgA nephropathy and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) and expanded its pipeline and clinical capabilities.
Campbell, who previously served as president and CEO of Amicus Therapeutics—a wholly owned subsidiary of BioMarin Pharmaceuticals—brings over 25 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector, including nearly 20 years at Amicus, where he rose to CEO in 2022. He previously held senior roles at Genzyme and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Campbell will join the company’s board of directors immediately upon assuming his new role.
The board of directors conducted a thorough search process to identify a leader aligned with Travere’s strategic priorities, particularly in advancing therapies for rare kidney diseases. Gary Lyons, chairman of Travere’s board, emphasized the importance of selecting a successor with the right leadership and operational expertise to guide the company through its next phase of growth and development.
