T. Rowe Price (NASDAQ: TROW) said it is expanding its use of Anthropic’s Claude artificial intelligence tools across its investment and technology operations, deploying the systems to portfolio managers, analysts and developers.
The firm, which oversees $1.87 trillion in client assets as of July 31, 2026, introduced two specific Claude applications. Claude Cowork was rolled out to portfolio managers and analysts to synthesize complex information and assist with knowledge-intensive, multistep research processes. Claude Code was adopted by the firm’s developers to build investment tools and enhance productivity across investment and operating workflows.
Eric Veiel, president, co-head of Global Investments and chief investment officer at T. Rowe Price, said in a statement that "Claude lets our investment professionals cover more ground and go deeper on what matters." Ramon Richards, global head of Technology, Data and Operations and chief technology officer, noted the implementation includes security and controls tailored to the firm’s operational requirements.
The expansion follows an August announcement in which T. Rowe Price said it would place AI leaders within its Investments and Global Distribution divisions, with T. Rowe Price Labs serving as the enterprise AI innovation hub. As part of the broader adoption effort, the firm said it is providing AI training, talent development and responsible-use guidance to employees.
T. Rowe Price portfolios also hold positions in Anthropic, the maker of Claude.
