Quantum Systems and XTEND announced a partnership to create integrated autonomous mission solutions for defense, homeland security and public safety customers. Under the agreement, Quantum Systems will incorporate XTEND's XOS operating system and autonomous mission functions into its own MOSAIC UXS mission software ecosystem, allowing defense forces to operate multiple autonomous systems within a single operational environment. The combined offering aims to link sensing, swarming and strike capabilities, reduce training requirements and accelerate deployment timelines.
XTEND reports that it has deployed more than 12,500 systems across over 30 countries, while Quantum Systems employs more than 1,700 people in eight countries. The partnership cites broader defense‑spending trends, noting that European Allies and Canada increased defense expenditures by more than $90 billion in 2025 and that NATO Allies have committed to spend 5 % of GDP annually on defense by 2035, a target set at the 2025 Hague Summit.
Martin Karkour, Chief Revenue Officer of Quantum Systems, said, "The future of defense autonomy will not be defined by individual platforms, but by our ability to connect sensors, systems and effectors into one operational network." The partnership’s first joint program supports a European NATO customer, with additional customer programs and demonstrations planned for 2026 and beyond.
