Rain City Resources partners with ZERO13 to launch lithium traceability system

Rain City Resources Inc., a Canadian critical‑minerals firm, announced on Sept. 8, 2026 that it has entered into an agreement with ZERO13, a GMEX Group subsidiary, to develop a blockchain‑based traceability and ESG certification system for its lithium production. The platform will record product purity, water use, energy intensity, carbon performance, reagent consumption, laboratory verification, batch IDs and chain‑of‑custody data from source to final product.

The partnership follows Rain City’s ongoing collaboration with Ion Source LLC, which began under a term sheet dated April 16, 2026 for the AC²ME direct lithium extraction technology. The original convertible loan note issued on July 10, 2025 has been restructured: $2,375 of accrued interest was capitalized, leaving an outstanding balance of $49,875. The note’s conversion rights were waived and it now operates as an unsecured loan bearing a 5% annual interest rate, repayable on demand. An additional 90‑day extension was added to Rain City’s exclusivity period with Ion Source.

Rain City also disclosed changes to its advisory board. Former members Ronald Lincz, Douglas Brett and Andrew Judson have stepped down. New appointees include Jay Hosanee, who brings experience in manufacturing, logistics, banking and mining, and Nicholas Holbrook, CEO of Ion Source LLC, who adds roughly two decades of upstream oil and gas expertise. Existing member Sebastián Quiñones remains on the board.

In conjunction with the partnership, Rain City launched a refreshed investor‑focused website to improve stakeholder communications.
