NielsenIQ on Wednesday announced the launch of Optiq, an AI-powered platform built into its Discover system, marking a shift toward conversational data access for consumer-insights clients.
The Optiq branding replaced Ask Arthur across the Discover platform on Sept. 7. The rebrand coincides with a global beta rollout planned for later this month, with all eligible NIQ Discover clients expected to gain access by the end of September.
Optiq is composed of three modules. Optiq Chat is already available to eligible U.S. clients within Discover, allowing users to query category and brand performance, competitive dynamics, pricing and promotions through natural language. The system supports follow-up questions. Optiq Mobile is currently available on iOS in the U.S., with additional expansion planned. Optiq Bridge is designed to integrate NIQ data into external AI environments.
Troy Treangen, NIQ's chief AI and product officer, said in a statement that "Optiq is about fundamentally changing how people interact with NIQ intelligence. By combining conversational access with NIQ's harmonized data and business context, we are moving more of the complexity behind the scenes."
The company stated that NIQ's AI foundation manages approximately 160 petabytes of commercial data and runs roughly 28,000 AI models daily.
Optiq represents NIQ's latest effort to embed artificial-intelligence capabilities into its consumer-data products, enabling users to pull insights without relying on traditional reporting workflows.
