Labcorp reaffirms 2026 outlook, sets multi-year growth targets through 2029

Labcorp Holdings reaffirmed its full-year 2026 guidance and set an extended outlook through 2029 during an investor day Thursday, reaffirming management's confidence in a strategy aimed at above-market performance.

The Burlington, N.C.-based clinical laboratory provider projected 2026 revenue of $14.71 billion to $14.83 billion, representing growth of 5.4% to 6.3% from 2025 revenue of $13.95 billion. Adjusted earnings per share are expected to land in a range of $18.10 to $18.55, with free cash flow forecast at $1.24 billion to $1.36 billion.

Looking further ahead, Labcorp outlined compound annual revenue growth of 5% to 8% and compound annual adjusted EPS growth of 8.5% to 11.5% through 2029. The company also projected adjusted operating margin expansion of between 75 and 150 basis points by the end of 2029, based on foreign exchange rates as of June 30, 2026.

Segment-level projections for 2026 called for diagnostics laboratories revenue of $11.45 billion to $11.53 billion and biopharma laboratory services revenue of $3.27 billion to $3.30 billion.

Chief Executive Adam Schechter said the company's growth strategy supports expectations for above-market performance. Chief Financial Officer Julia Wang added that the outlook rests on a disciplined value creation framework.

Labcorp, which employs nearly 71,000 people and serves clients in approximately 100 countries, performs more than 750 million tests globally each year. The company identified four strategic priorities: leading in specialty testing through innovation in oncology, neurology, autoimmune diseases and women's health; partnering with health systems and pharmaceutical companies; driving personalized health solutions; and implementing advanced technology including artificial intelligence and robotics.
