European retail giant Inditex is set to publish its half-year results on Wednesday, offering the first full picture of its performance through the summer season. The maker of Zara and other brands reported a 2.4% revenue increase in the second quarter to 8.3 billion euros, while net income excluding exceptional items rose 8.7% to 1.32 billion euros. Operating profit increased 8.8% to 1.53 billion euros, delivering an operating margin of 18.5%, up from 18.2% a year earlier. Net profit attributable to shareholders climbed 6.3% to 1.26 billion euros, or 1.90 euros per share, compared with 1.81 euros per share a year prior. Earnings before exceptional items grew 6.8% to 1.31 billion euros, or 1.97 euros per share, versus 1.89 euros per share. On a constant-currency basis, revenues rose 2.3%, with digital sales climbing 13.2% to 3.03 billion euros.
In the United States, Apple will host a special event for the unveiling of new products. Separately, the ADP national employment report for August will be released, providing a private-sector jobs gauge ahead of Friday's broader nonfarm payrolls data.
On the macro side, France will release its industrial production figure for July 2026. Meanwhile, Hungary's central bank and Poland's central bank are both scheduled to announce their monetary-policy decisions, with markets watching for signals on the pace of further rate adjustments amid persistently elevated inflation across the region.
