Finland’s benchmark OMX Helsinki 25 index ended 1.61% lower on Tuesday, reflecting broad-based weakness across the telecoms, industrials and technology sectors.

The Helsinki exchange recorded 112 decliners against 59 advancers, with 22 issues unchanged. The index’s decline was driven by sharp losses in some of its largest constituents, including Nokia Oyj, which fell 7.29% to close at 8.90, and Metso Oyj, which dropped 4.71% to 16.00.

Among the few gainers, Tieto Oyj rose 1.07% to 18.92, while Kesko Oyj added 1.02% to finish at 21.72. Neste Oyj also edged higher by 0.49% to 30.88 in late trade.

Commodity markets showed mixed signals: Brent crude for October delivery rose 0.77% to $91.57 per barrel, while U.S. crude for the same month climbed 1.13% to $84.69. Gold futures for December delivery, however, fell 1.16% to $4,421.67 per troy ounce.

Currency markets were largely stable, with the EUR/USD and EUR/GBP pairs holding flat at 1.16 and 0.86, respectively. The U.S. Dollar Index futures were down 0.02% at 99.51.
