Bitcoin: Experts see 20-30% rise by year-end as market recovers from 2025 lows

Bitcoin’s recent recovery has prompted speculation that the cryptocurrency may have reached its low point, though experts caution that a confirmed upward trend still hinges on overcoming immediate price barriers. Dominic Weibel, head of research at Bitcoin Suisse, argues that several indicators point to a bottoming phase, including the liquidation of short positions during the August rally, historically low realized and implied volatility, and reduced selling pressure from speculative traders. "The combination of these factors suggests a more durable foundation," he said, though he noted that volatility could still limit upside if it remains subdued. "Even with lower swings, Bitcoin has demonstrated the capacity for substantial gains over time," he added, referencing historical trends similar to gold, which has thrived despite moderate price fluctuations.
