Beneficient (NASDAQ:BENF), a Dallas-based provider of technology-enabled exit opportunities and capital solutions for alternative-asset holders, said it will launch AltLens, an alternative-asset portfolio analytics and risk platform, in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The tool is aimed at family offices and small institutional investors. According to the company, AltLens maps portfolio positions to private-market risk segments defined by asset class, strategy, geography and sector, while maintaining historical quarterly returns based on private-market performance. The platform calculates volatility, beta, value-at-risk, correlation and concentration metrics, and delivers results through dashboards and exportable reports on a quarterly snapshot basis.
AltLens also includes stress-testing capabilities that simulate portfolio performance under scenarios modeled after the 2008–09 financial crisis, the 2000–03 technology downturn and the 2021–22 inflationary environment. Users can additionally model custom equity-market declines and interest-rate shocks.
"Private markets have become too large and too important to the investors we serve for family offices and smaller institutions to rely principally on spreadsheets and public-market proxies to understand portfolio risk," said Chief Executive Officer James G. Silk in a statement.
AltLens is part of a broader alternative-asset technology platform that also includes AltSignal, an AI-enabled diligence engine, and AltDeal, an enterprise acquisition analysis engine — both currently under development, according to the company.
Beneficient's subsidiary, Beneficient Fiduciary Financial, operates under Kansas' Technology-Enabled Fiduciary Financial Institution Act and is regulated by the state's Office of the State Bank Commissioner.
