Endeavour Silver Corp. (NYSE: EXK; TSX: EDR) announced on Monday that it has suspended its primary ball mill at the Guanacevi Mine, located in Mexico. The suspension, effective September 21, is due to a mechanical issue involving the mill head and trunnion, which require replacement. The company expects the repair to take approximately three weeks, with replacement parts already available on site and components in inventory, indicating minimal cost impact.
Mining operations at the site will continue uninterrupted, with the facility's regrind circuit reconfigured to operate at 600 tonnes per day (tpd) during the repair period. The normal operating capacity of the facility is approximately 1,100 tpd.
Endeavour Silver is working with third-party service providers to expedite the replacement process. The company operates three mines in Mexico and Peru and maintains exploration projects across Mexico, Chile, and the United States.
