Alpine Select H1 2026 profit falls short of July forecast at 4.7 million francs

Alpine Select posted a half‑year profit of 4.7 million Swiss francs for the first six months of 2026, compared with 1.2 million francs in the same period of 2025. In July the company had indicated it expected profit of around 5.6 million francs for the half‑year.

Net asset value per share increased by 6.2% to 9.05 francs. Idorsia, the second‑largest position in the portfolio, was highlighted as a strong contributor to the result, while IP Group was noted as a core special‑situations holding with significant upside potential.

Alpine Select described the market environment as oscillating between AI‑driven optimism and leverage‑induced volatility. Management said current conditions do not display the traits of a classic late‑cycle bubble and expressed cautious optimism about technological breakthroughs, seeing substantial unrecognised value in IP Group and Idorsia for the second half of the year.
