ZenaTech Inc. (NASDAQ: ZENA), headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, announced plans to develop a franchise business model for drone-based power washing services under its "Drone as a Service" platform.
The initiative builds on the company's June 23, 2026 acquisition of Green Earth Powerwashing LLC, a Florida-based cleaning firm operating an existing franchise system that serves municipal, commercial, and hospitality clients across central and south Florida.
The planned service would deploy the ZenaDrone IQ Square, a drone currently in development for outdoor inspection and maintenance tasks. The aircraft would be fitted with a pressurized cleaning attachment and integrated water system to wash building exteriors, facades, and roofs. A ground-based technician would operate and supervise each unit.
Both the franchise offering and the drone cleaning capability remain in planning and testing stages, respectively, and are not yet available for commercial deployment. ZenaTech said it intends to first roll out the services in Florida before expanding into other national markets.
According to Valuates Reports, the global drone cleaning services market was valued at over $5 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach over $15 billion by 2031.
"We've long been interested in a franchise strategy for our Drone as a Service platform that can incorporate multiple service lines over time, and this recent acquisition of Green Earth gives us an accelerated path to bring our first drone-enabled service, power washing, to market incorporating this model," said CEO Shaun Passley.
ZenaTech says it specializes in AI-powered drone solutions, enterprise SaaS, and quantum computing platforms.
