Xylem Inc. shares declined 3.4% on Tuesday after the company announced a chief financial officer transition. The water technology and infrastructure provider said Andrea van der Berg will succeed William "Bill" Grogan as CFO, effective September 1, 2026.
Van der Berg, currently Senior Vice President of Finance for Xylem’s Water Infrastructure segment, brings more than 20 years of finance and business leadership experience, including 13 years at Honeywell in various finance roles. Grogan will remain with the company through mid-September to assist with the handover before pursuing another professional opportunity.
The announcement coincided with Xylem’s reaffirmation of its previously issued third-quarter and full-year 2026 financial guidance, which was first disclosed on July 28, 2026. The company did not revise its outlook or provide additional details regarding the transition’s impact on operations or financial performance.
Xylem, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker XYL, has not commented further on the leadership change beyond the initial announcement.
