White River Bancshares Company announced the appointment of Kevin Kooman as an independent director to its board, effective immediately.
Kooman previously served on the company’s board from 2016 to 2021 as a representative of an institutional investor. His return follows the company’s listing on the OTCQX Best Market under the ticker WRIV.
White River Bancshares is the holding company for Signature Bank of Arkansas, which operates seven branches across Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville, Rogers, Brinkley, Harrison, and Jonesboro. Founded in 2005, the bank focuses on providing financial services to small businesses, families, and agricultural clients.
Kooman brings over 30 years of experience advising boards and executive teams on corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, capital formation, and risk oversight. He has held senior roles including private equity partner and investment banking managing director. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University and an MBA in Finance from Temple University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant, though his license is currently inactive.
