Vishay Intertechnology’s shares climbed 3.9% to $31.85 in midday trading on Tuesday, extending gains from its session open of $31.50 and approaching an intraday high of $31.90.
The advance follows the company’s announcement of the IFBT series, a new line of 17 customizable surface-mount flyback transformers under its Vishay Dale brand. Designed for flyback converter topologies, the series features a wide input voltage range of 26V to 72V at 250 kHz and offers high isolation of 1,500 VRMS. The product line supports multiple winding configurations, enabling flexible voltage and current handling combinations tailored for industrial, computing, and telecommunications end markets.
Analyst sentiment has also supported the stock’s upward momentum. Needham and Raymond James initiated coverage with bullish ratings in early August, while Argus Research reaffirmed its Buy rating shortly after the company’s second-quarter earnings call. These actions reflect growing institutional confidence in Vishay’s multi-year recovery plan, Vishay 3.0, which emphasizes higher-margin customers in AI power management and smart grid applications.
The broader market showed positive momentum, with the S&P 500 up 0.7%, the Dow Jones gaining 0.3%, and the Nasdaq leading with a 1.4% advance. Vishay’s stock remains well below its 52-week high of $69.47, indicating potential room for further appreciation if the new product line gains traction in target markets.
