Vishay Intertechnology has launched a new line of surface-mount flyback transformers designed for 6W to 30W power designs, including Power over Ethernet and isolated DC/DC converters.
The IFBT series comprises 17 devices with input voltage ranges from 26V to 72V at 250 kHz, output voltages from 1.8V to 24V, and output currents from 0.5A to 9.0A. Inductance values span 35.0 µH to 75.0 µH, while the transformers provide 1,500 VRMS isolation for 60 seconds between primary, bias and secondary windings.
The series targets applications in automotive LED driver transformers, energy generation and distribution, industrial automation, building controls, consumer electronics, telecom equipment and medical instrumentation. Vishay notes the open construction allows winding adjustments to meet specific customer requirements, and the components are RoHS-compliant.
Production quantities and samples are available with lead times of 10 to 12 weeks.
