Veeva Systems Inc. shares jumped 7.8% in pre-market trading on Tuesday after the company reported fiscal second-quarter 2027 results that exceeded analyst expectations and raised its full-year guidance.
The company’s stock reached $264 in early trade, up from Tuesday’s opening price of $239.87, following the release of its quarterly performance. Revenue for the quarter rose 18% year-over-year to $928 million, surpassing the consensus estimate of approximately $905 million. Adjusted earnings per share came in at $2.35, above the Street forecast of $2.22. Subscription revenues grew 16% to $766.8 million, while non-GAAP operating margins remained above 44%.
Veeva also updated its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook, raising revenue guidance to a range of $3.68–$3.69 billion, up from prior consensus expectations near $3.65 billion. Adjusted EPS guidance was lifted to $9.21 from $9.05. The company highlighted strong momentum in its Vault CRM platform, which recorded its best quarter on record. Two additional top-20 biopharma customers, Eli Lilly and Biogen, committed to the platform during the period, bringing the total number of top-20 firms using Vault CRM to 12.
Analysts responded positively to the results. Barclays raised its price target to $315 from $275 while maintaining an Overweight rating. Piper Sandler initiated coverage with an Overweight rating and a $295 target. The broader market also showed gains, with the NASDAQ up 1.1% and the S&P 500 adding 0.5%.
