Universal Display’s stock rose 1.1% in pre-market trading on Tuesday after the company unveiled OLEDX, a proprietary OLED device architecture designed to enhance light extraction and energy efficiency.
The new technology redirects light that would otherwise be trapped within the display stack, according to the company. OLEDX was introduced at the International Meeting on Information Display in Busan, Korea, held from August 18 to 21, 2026.
The stock has traded between a 52-week low of $76.42 and a peak of $153.38 this year. Universal Display maintained its full-year 2026 revenue guidance toward the lower end of its $630 million to $670 million range.
Broader U.S. equity futures also pointed higher, with the S&P 500 up 0.5%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 0.6% and the Nasdaq Composite up 0.4% ahead of the cash session.
