TruGolf Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: TRUG) appointed its current chairman Brenner Adams as interim chief executive officer, following the resignation of founder Chris Jones from both the CEO role and the board.
Adams, who previously worked on Microsoft’s Xbox team, served as global brand director at Burton Snowboards, held a senior position at TruGolf, and was chief strategist at TrueMark—an AWS Advanced Tier Partner—outlined plans to strengthen the company’s virtual golf business, improve operational efficiency, and develop strategic global partnerships.
"We want to thank Chris for his years of dedication to both the golf simulation industry and to TruGolf," Adams said. "We also want to welcome Jay to the Board."
Jones’ seat on the board was filled by Jay Heller, CEO of K Lab, a technology company focused on programmable payments infrastructure. Heller spent 18 years at NASDAQ as vice president and head of capital markets and IPO execution, where he oversaw more than 3,000 public listings.
TruGolf, which manufactures indoor golf simulation solutions and operates an e-sports platform called E6, said it is conducting a search for a permanent CEO replacement. The company also is working toward closing its acquisition of Polymath.
