Wayne, Pa. - Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE: TFX) said on Sept. 8, 2026 that it had appointed Sean M. Salmon to its board of directors, effective that day. Salmon spent more than 20 years at Medtronic plc (NYSE: MDT), most recently serving as executive vice president and president of its Cardiovascular Portfolio, which generated approximately $12.5 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue. He previously held leadership roles across Medtronic’s Diabetes, Coronary and Structural Heart, and Coronary and Renal Denervation businesses.
The appointment brings the Teleflex board to nine directors, eight of whom are independent, as one-third of the board has been refreshed in 2026. Salmon will serve on the Growth and Operating Committee, which was established earlier in the year to support management’s execution of Teleflex’s strategic transformation. Andrew A. Krakauer, chairman of the Teleflex board, said Salmon is an industry veteran and proven operator with a strong record of driving growth and profitability across large, complex medical technology businesses.
Teleflex is a medical technology provider offering products in anesthesia, emergency medicine, interventional cardiology and radiology, surgical, vascular access, and urology. Salmon currently serves as an independent director of Adagio Medical Holdings, Inc. (Nasdaq: ADGM) and has owned Zamboni Holdings, LLC since December 2025, providing consulting and advisory services. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a B.S. in Applied Physiology from Boston University.
