Taoping Inc. said its subsidiary Skyladder (Tianjin) Technology Development Co., Ltd. has received smart‑elevator project orders worth more than $5.5 million in China. The contracts cover elevator modernization work and were announced from Tianjin.
The wins follow a follow‑on project in the China‑Singapore Tianjin Eco‑City and come as the Chinese government aims to upgrade or install 575,000 residential elevators nationwide during the 15th Five‑Year Plan period.
Taoping’s smart‑elevator management platform provides real‑time operational monitoring, fault alerts, predictive maintenance and maintenance‑workflow management. The company is moving toward a "Project + Platform Subscription" model intended to generate recurring service revenue.
Bin Ma, Co‑Chief Executive Officer of Taoping, said the priorities are to execute the projects, broaden market reach, increase platform adoption and translate that progress into durable growth and long‑term shareholder value.
The orders also align with the 2026 Government Work Report, which called for development of intelligent‑economy models and broader commercial adoption of artificial intelligence across industries.
