SU Group Holdings said its Macao subsidiary, Shine Union (Macao) Limited, has secured exclusive rights to market and sell the Inspec Spider high-mast inspection robot in the Macao Special Administrative Region.
The agreement with Green Light Multiplex Co. Limited grants Shine Union sole distribution rights for the robotic system, which is designed to inspect polygonal high masts and poles up to 35 meters in height. The technology replaces traditional manual inspections that often require road closures and operational disruptions.
The Inspec Spider uses multiple cameras, including 360-degree imaging, to record rust and surface conditions, with artificial-intelligence-assisted analysis to identify defects. The system operates via wired and wireless controls and features automatic tilting and balancing capabilities. It has undergone field testing at Hong Kong International Airport.
SU Group, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker SUGP, operates as an integrated security services provider in Hong Kong, offering engineering, guarding, and screening services across commercial, public, and residential properties. Green Light Multiplex, established in 1991, supplies energy-efficient lighting and smart-city technologies in Hong Kong and Macao, serving government authorities, utilities, property developers, and contractors.
The Inspec Spider has previously received a Silver Edison Award and a Gold Medal at the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. Dave Chan, Chairman and CEO of SU Group, said the exclusive partnership provides Macao with a differentiated, award-winning technology in an expanding market.
