Solstice Gold Corp. has expanded its Strathy Gold Project in Ontario through the acquisition of the Leckie Gold Zone, increasing its land package to approximately 57 square kilometers.
The transaction, completed via an option agreement with Gravel Ridge Resources Ltd. and 1544230 Inc., includes two patented mineral claims covering 24 hectares and 43 non-patented claims totaling 9.4 square kilometers. Upon closing, Solstice will hold a 100% interest in the Strathy project, subject to certain royalties.
The Leckie Gold Zone features a 160-meter-deep shaft, underground development across five levels, and more than 23,000 meters of historical drilling. Historical assay results include intercepts of 4.85 grams per tonne gold over 17.10 meters, 7.24 g/t over 10.45 meters, and 9.10 g/t over 5.24 meters. Of 133 drill holes with available assays, 62% returned intercepts of at least 3.0 g/t gold over a minimum 1.5-meter core length, with 90% of the 82 significant intercepts located less than 250 meters vertically below surface.
Under the definitive agreement dated August 22, 2026, Solstice will pay US$600,000 in cash and issue 2 million common shares, subject to a 12-month lock-up period. The company will also transfer 11 non-patented claims to the vendors. The patented claims remain subject to a 1% net smelter return royalty held by Stroud Resources Ltd., with a buyback option for 0.5% at US$500,000.
As a closing condition, Solstice intends to complete a hard-dollar restricted-efforts financing, issuing 10,833,333 common shares at US$0.06 per share to raise gross proceeds of US$650,000. The acquisition is expected to close on September 14, 2026, pending approval from the TSX Venture Exchange and other customary conditions.
