SU Group Holdings said its Shine Union (Macao) unit has secured exclusive rights to market and distribute the Inspec Spider high-mast inspection robot across the Macao Special Administrative Region.
The agreement with Green Light Multiplex grants Shine Union sole distribution for the AI-enabled robotic system, which replaces traditional manual inspections of high masts and poles up to 35 meters. The robot uses multiple cameras, including 360-degree imaging, to assess rust and surface conditions, with wired and wireless controls and automatic balancing features.
SU Group said the Inspec Spider eliminates the need for personnel to work at significant heights and reduces operational disruptions such as road closures. The system has undergone field testing at Hong Kong International Airport and holds a Silver Edison Award and a Gold Medal from the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva.
Dave Chan, chairman and CEO of SU Group, said the exclusive partnership provides Macao’s new operation with a competitive edge through a differentiated technology targeting an expanding smart-city infrastructure market. SU Group has provided security-related engineering and screening services in Hong Kong for more than two decades.
