SEALSQ Corp (NASDAQ: LAES) has entered a partnership with India-based Palm Technologies to embed quantum-resistant security technology into the latter’s biometric authentication platforms. The collaboration focuses on integrating SEALSQ’s QS7001 hardware-security microcontroller into Palm Technologies’ product line, starting with the MetPalm V1 platform for metro and toll payment systems.
Under the agreement, each company will retain ownership of its existing intellectual property while SEALSQ provides the QS7001 chip and technical support. Palm Technologies will lead product architecture, biometric system design, firmware development, system integration, local compliance, and market deployment. The QS7001 is designed to protect connected systems against cyber threats using post-quantum cryptographic algorithms, including Kyber and Dilithium.
Palm Technologies plans to expand the integration beyond metro and toll systems to include its Palm-M merchant payment terminal and the OrbitQops suite, which targets robotics, drones, electric vehicles, satellites, networks, and IoT devices. The initial deployment will focus on India’s digital payment and infrastructure sectors, including defense communications, transit systems, and emerging technologies such as electric vehicles and robotics.
SEALSQ Chief Executive Officer Carlos Moreira said the partnership represents a key commercial opportunity in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital infrastructure markets. Mayur Sunil Anecha, Chief Visionary Officer at Palm Technologies, said the company will oversee product architecture, firmware, biometric design, compliance, and market entry.
