Analysts polled by Reuters project earnings of $0.39 per share on revenue of $265.39 million for the quarter. In the prior quarter, Mercury reported a loss of $0.04 per share against expectations for a $0.07 profit, a 157% earnings miss, while revenue of $236 million exceeded forecasts by 13%.
The company’s stock has surged roughly 200% over the past two years, with shares recently trading at $113.36. Mercury’s market valuation stands at $6.8 billion, with a 52-week range of $62.78 to $128.45. Ten analysts maintain a consensus Buy rating, though the mean price target of $106.22 trails the current share price.
Over the past 60 days, earnings-per-share estimates have declined by 3.5%, while revenue estimates have remained broadly stable. Piper Sandler initiated coverage on August 12 with an Overweight rating and a $126 price target.
Mercury’s prior quarter featured record backlog growth of 18%, alongside a gross profit margin of 28.68%. Revenue for the current quarter is expected to decline 2.83% year-over-year. The firm has highlighted missile, C4ISR, and space programs as areas with record bookings.
The defense electronics sector is projected to grow 5–6% annually, and Mercury maintains a 40-year track record in converting commercial silicon into ruggedized defense applications. The company also collaborates with Palantir Technologies to automate material planning and develop a digital twin of operations.
