Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share index closed 0.19% higher on Thursday, extending gains after a mixed regional session.
Gains in the insurance, cement and financial services sectors underpinned the advance, offsetting declines in other segments. Advancing issues outnumbered decliners by 183 to 146, with 30 stocks unchanged.
Saudi Arabia Refineries Co. led the advances, rising 4.85% to SAR 54.00. Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company followed with a 4.62% gain to SAR 11.78, while Saudi Automotive Services Co. added 4.08% to SAR 43.40.
On the downside, Taiba Holding Co. fell 2.49% to SAR 19.17, Al Moammar Information Systems Co. declined 2.28% to SAR 300.60, and Saudi Ground Services Co. dropped 2.17% to SAR 26.18.
Oil prices rose alongside regional equities. October crude futures gained 1.60% to $92.47 per barrel, while November Brent crude increased 1.07% to $96.65. December gold futures advanced 2.27% to $4,514.89 per troy ounce.
The euro strengthened 0.31% against the Saudi riyal to 4.36, while the U.S. dollar index fell 0.54% to 99.02. The USD/SAR rate held steady at 3.76.
