Acting on a decision issued by the relevant UN sanctions committee, updates have been made concerning sanctioned entities linked to ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Kaida.
The measure
The UN sanctions committee amended its roster of restricted persons, companies, and organizations on September 4, 2026. In response, SECO adapted the SESAM (SECO Sanctions Management) database and published the update on its website. The UN committee decision took place on September 4, 2026, followed by the SESAM database adjustments implemented on September 7, 2026.
