Quest Diagnostics announced it will embed laboratory testing directly into Apple's Health app, giving U.S. iPhone and iPad users the ability to purchase and schedule blood draws and biometric readings through Apple's platform starting later this year.
The offering, priced at $119, includes a panel covering more than 50 biomarkers related to cardiometabolic health and organ function. Biometric measurements will capture blood pressure, height, weight, and waist and hip circumferences. Test results will appear within the Apple Health app shortly after completion.
Users will be able to schedule sample collection at approximately 2,000 Quest patient service centers across the United States, though the service will not be available in every state. Quest will partner with third-party providers to review and approve test orders and discuss results with users at no additional charge.
The partnership was unveiled by Apple at its September event on September 9, 2026.
"By embedding the Quest lab testing experience within the Apple Health app, we are making testing simpler, smarter and more available to people who want to connect biomarker and biometric insights to own their health," said Richard Adams, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer at Quest Diagnostics.
Quest Diagnostics, based in Secaucus, New Jersey, operates at significant scale in the U.S. market. The company serves roughly half of American physicians and hospitals and conducts testing for one in three adult Americans annually. It employs nearly 60,000 people.
