Pearson Integrates ITS Assessment Tech into Professional Qualifications Arm

Pearson Education has finalized the acquisition of assessment technology provider ITS, integrating the Baltimore-based company into its Professional Assessments division. The deal, announced on September 18, 2026, marks Pearson’s expansion into advanced assessment management, delivery, and reporting solutions for professional qualifications. ITS, which has collaborated with Pearson since 2009, specializes in remote testing, performance-based assessments, and continuous certification programs. Following integration, ITS will operate under Pearson Professional Assessments, a unit serving customers across nearly 200 countries through digital content, assessments, qualifications, and data analytics—employing approximately 18,000 staff globally.
