Patrick Hugh Conway, chief executive of Optum, sold 1,169 shares of UnitedHealth Group common stock on Aug. 21 for a total of $455,910, according to a filing dated Aug. 25. The shares were priced at $390 each, compared with UnitedHealth’s closing price of $396.59 on Aug. 21.
Conway’s remaining direct holdings in UnitedHealth total 15,327.797 shares. The company’s market capitalization stands at $356.6 billion.
UnitedHealth reported adjusted earnings of $6.38 per share in the second quarter of 2026, exceeding the $4.85 estimate, and revenue of $112 billion, topping forecasts. Following the results, management raised its full-year guidance.
UnitedHealth’s stock has gained 42% over the past six months. Analysts have adjusted price targets accordingly, with Bernstein SocGen Group and BofA Securities both lifting their targets to $512, Mizuho to $493, and UBS to $490.
