Optoma projectors have received WiSA SoundSend certification from the WiSA Association, the company announced Monday. The certification covers 68 models, including the Optoma HCPro-5400 and UHZ58LV, expanding compatibility with WiSA’s wireless audio transmission technology.
The HCPro-5400, a DLP triple RGB laser projector, features 5,000 lumens of brightness, 4K UHD resolution, and support for images up to 300 inches. It includes certifications for IMAX Enhanced, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and FILMMAKER MODE, alongside Dolby Atmos passthrough via eARC. The UHZ58LV, a home theater projector, delivers 4K UHD clarity with dual laser projection, DCI-P3 color, 3,000 lumens of brightness, and incorporates Optoma PureEngine Ultra and HDR10+ technology.
Certified projectors are compatible with WiSA SoundSend universal transmitters, supporting both the original WiSA SoundSend (using WiSA HT technology) and the upcoming WiSA SoundSend E (using WiSA E technology). The latter will be controlled via the WiSA Connect mobile application, offering system equalization, bass management, and custom user profiles.
Brian Soto, Director of Product Management at Optoma, said the company is expanding its line of solutions that integrate with WiSA SoundSend wireless audio transmitters. The certification was announced by Datavault AI Inc., which operates the WiSA Association as a division of its Acoustic Sciences unit, based in Beaverton, Oregon.
