Municipality Finance Plc has issued SEK 1.25 billion ($120 million) in new debt under its medium-term note (MTN) programme, the Finnish municipal lender said on Tuesday.
The issuance expands the company’s debt financing capacity amid ongoing demand for its benchmark Nordic municipal bonds. Proceeds will support the lender’s long-term lending to Finnish municipalities and public sector entities.
Municipality Finance, wholly owned by the Finnish state, operates as the primary financing vehicle for local governments in Finland. Its MTN programme facilitates regular debt issuance to fund infrastructure and public services projects across the country.
The latest transaction follows a series of benchmark-sized issuances in recent months, reflecting stable investor appetite for high-quality Nordic municipal debt. Terms of the new notes were not disclosed.
