Lycopodium Limited (LYL.AX) said on Thursday its shares rose 12% after the engineering consultancy posted a record annual profit and revenue for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026. The company reported revenue of A$377.5 million, up 11% from the prior year, while net profit after tax reached A$40.2 million, translating to earnings per share of A$1.01.
The group’s EBITDA rose to A$59.5 million, yielding a 15.7% margin, while profit before tax totaled A$52.5 million. Lycopodium’s net cash position stood at A$106.2 million at year-end, with equity increasing 13% to A$170.7 million. The company declared a final dividend of A$0.37 per share, bringing the full-year total to A$0.59 per share.
Peter D’Aleo, managing director and CEO, said the year represented a record in both committed work and revenue, with the company’s pipeline extending into fiscal 2028. He highlighted a 40% expansion of the addressable market following the group’s push into the Americas, supported by new offices in Toronto, Lima, and Vancouver.
Justine Campbell, chief financial officer, noted that the A$377.5 million revenue figure marked the company’s highest annual total, while net profit after tax of A$40.2 million met the long-term margin target of above 10%. The group managed over 9 million man-hours across more than 50 resource projects and handled over 90 studies, with its project pipeline doubling since December 2025.
Geographically, Africa accounted for 58% of revenue, followed by the APAC region at 24% and the Americas at 11%. The company employed over 1,400 people at June 30, 2026, with staff numbers rising to 1,500 globally across 18 offices.
For fiscal 2027, Lycopodium guided revenue to a range of A$540-580 million and net profit after tax to A$54-58 million. Nearly 70% of the revenue guidance is already committed through existing contracts, according to management.
The company’s shares closed at A$21.13 on Thursday, up A$2.31, or 12.27%, from the prior session’s A$18.82. The stock has traded between A$11.46 and A$21.60 over the past 52 weeks.
