Kinepolis Group reported record first-half revenue of €341.80 million for 2026, a 32.6% increase from the same period a year earlier, driven by the acquisition of Emagine and the pending purchase of Showcase Cinemas in the United States.
Admissions rose 33.8% to 19.1 million during the six-month period, supported by the integration of 14 Emagine cinemas in the U.S. and a strong film slate. Profitability improved as the company emphasized premium offerings, while management highlighted ongoing investments to enhance the cinema experience.
The Belgian operator completed the Emagine acquisition and agreed to acquire Showcase Cinemas during the first half of 2026. Looking ahead, Kinepolis expects further U.S. expansion following the Showcase deal to support future performance. The company also cited a robust second-half film lineup as a potential driver for continued growth in the latter part of the year.
