IQVIA has launched IQVIA Predictive Clinical Development, an AI-powered platform designed to accelerate and optimize clinical trial processes.
The platform integrates artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to reduce study startup time by 33% and cut data cleaning time by 50%, according to the company. AI-driven site selection has improved patient recruitment rates, with prioritized sites enrolling 1.7 times more participants, while overall enrollment rates increased by 42%. The platform also reduces the time between trial phases by 45%, IQVIA stated.
The system comprises three core components: the Clinical Design & Planning Suite for site selection, Push Button Start-Up for enrollment acceleration, and Real-time Data Cleaning for faster data processing. These tools are designed to compress timelines, accelerate decision-making, and expedite the delivery of medicines to market, the company said.
IQVIA, which employs approximately 94,000 people across more than 100 countries, collaborated with technology partners including Anthropic, Amazon Web Services, Databricks, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Palantir, and Snowflake to develop the platform. Richard Staub, president of Research and Development Solutions at IQVIA, noted that the platform aims to make drug development faster, more predictable, and of higher quality.
The announcement follows IQVIA’s broader push to integrate AI across its operations, positioning the company at the intersection of life sciences and advanced analytics.
