French telecom group Iliad on Thursday reported a 2.2% increase in first-half core profit, driven by a 10.2% surge in revenue from its Italian operations.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortization and after lease costs rose to €2 billion ($2.3 billion) in the six months through June, up from €1.96 billion a year earlier. Consolidated revenue totaled €5.24 billion, a 3% increase from the same period in 2025.
Italy was the standout performer, with revenue climbing 10.2% to €665 million. France, Iliad’s largest market, saw a 1.5% increase to €3.32 billion, while Poland reported a 3.5% gain to €1.26 billion. The company added 300,000 subscribers in the second quarter, bringing its total customer base to 52.5 million at the end of June.
Mobile customers drove the growth, with Italy and Poland each adding roughly 100,000 subscribers. France’s mobile base rose to 23.4 million, while fixed-line subscribers remained broadly stable. Italy’s total customer count reached 13.3 million, and Poland’s reached 15.8 million.
Iliad’s performance reflects uneven recovery across its core markets, with Italy outperforming amid competitive pricing and subscriber acquisition strategies. The group has not provided updated guidance for the full year.
