International Payout Systems, Inc. (i-payout), a Fort Lauderdale-based payments company founded in 2007, announced an expansion of its U.S. money transmitter licensing footprint and progress toward obtaining a European Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license.
The company received approval from the Office of the Commissioner of Financial Institutions of Puerto Rico for its Money Services Business (MSB) license, adding another jurisdiction to its regulated U.S. footprint. i-payout said it expanded its U.S. money transmitter licensing throughout 2026 and is working toward completing its required U.S. licensing coverage by the end of 2027.
The company also announced it is implementing Hawk’s AI-powered financial crime technology for anti-money laundering transaction monitoring, screening, and other risk-assessment functions.
Founder and CEO Eddie Gonzalez said the company has spent nearly two decades building technology that helps businesses move money across global markets, serving customers that may need to pay thousands or millions of individuals across different jurisdictions. He said the expanded licensing gives i-payout greater control over the infrastructure supporting those payments and positions the company to offer additional capabilities as customer businesses grow.

He added that licensing is "part of the infrastructure that allows us to build better products, create stronger financial relationships and give enterprise customers greater confidence in the platform handling their payments."
