Hyatt Hotels Corporation (NYSE:H) and Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) announced a long-term strategic partnership that will link their respective loyalty programs, World of Hyatt and Delta SkyMiles, according to a joint announcement published on September 9, 2026.
The collaboration will allow eligible members of both programs to earn points and miles on qualifying travel. World of Hyatt elite members will earn points when they purchase qualifying Delta airfare within eligible fare classes, while Delta SkyMiles Medallion members will earn miles for qualifying stays at participating Hyatt properties.
Hyatt noted that its World of Hyatt program has 69 million members. Initial benefits under the partnership will focus on elite-tier participants, with exclusive benefits and experiences for those members expected to be unveiled later this year.
Mark Hoplamazian, chairman, president and CEO of Hyatt, said the partnership reflects a shared commitment to premium travel experiences. "Exceptional travel extends far beyond a hotel stay—it's about creating memorable experiences throughout the full travel journey," Hoplamazian said. "We share a vision for delivering thoughtful, premium experiences that put our members first and create tremendous value wherever their travels take them."
Delta CEO Ed Bastian echoed the emphasis on quality, stating, "Flying Delta creates experiences and opportunities that can't be found anywhere else. Hyatt shares that same premium approach to everything from travel and dining to entertainment and accommodations."
Hyatt said detailed information regarding enrollment, eligibility criteria, earning opportunities and the specific launch timeline will be communicated in the coming months. The partnership was described as a long-term strategic initiative aimed at adding value for the loyalty programs' respective member bases.
