Saudi artificial intelligence company Humain announced plans to establish a $2.5 billion fund to finance data center projects across the kingdom, with initial capacity of 250 megawatts and potential expansion to 1 gigawatt.
The fund, which will be managed by Saudi investment bank BSF Capital, will target both domestic and international investors following regulatory approval from the Capital Market Authority. The approval process is expected to take two to three months, according to Humain Chief Executive Tareq Amin.
Humain, backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, will develop the data centers in partnership with Al Moammar Information Systems Co. The financing structure will combine debt and equity components.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader push to expand its artificial intelligence infrastructure, positioning the kingdom as a regional hub for AI and digital services. Amin previously disclosed plans to establish the fund earlier this week without specifying its size.
